We're happy to announce that the first edition of the Festival was a success, and was enjoyed by all!

Special thanks are in order to the Distillery, who's friendly and beautiful staff were great hosts.

As 12 of Alberta's premier hip-hop acts took to the stage over the course of two nights, there was some serious lyrical (and turntable) science being dropped. In addition to the many hip hop enthusiasts who came out and sampled the flavors, it was especially gratifying to see the artists being inspired by one another's material. Throughout the course of the weekend, it became evident that our talent right here in Alberta is second to none (like we didn't already know). Spread the word: Alberta is not only good for growing cows and hockey players, but rap stars as well.

Coming soon to the site will be some performance video clips, shot by our man at Binder Productions. If you missed this year's event, check them out! If you were there, then relive some of the moments, if you've got photos of your own, feel free to send them on to us for inclusion on the website!!

Also, by popular demand, the T-shirts will also be available as soon as stocks are replenished. Of course, the 15 track compilation CD (with nifty tin casing) is currently available, and should not be slept on. Click here to pick one up.

On behalf of the festival's organizers, and artists, we'd like to send a big shout out to everybody who attended the festival, or who simply browsed into this site. Coming in September 2008...2! In the meantime, support your local hip hop artists.
