ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

is a hip-hop music festival that will take place in Calgary, AB, between Friday September 14 and Saturday September 15, 2007.

The purpose of the festival is to bring together some of the immense hip-hop talent that can be found in our province for a series of shows in one city, on one weekend. By sampling the talent that can be found in such places as Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and Lethbridge, it is our hope that we will provide fans of hip-hop music with a better understanding of the level of talent that exists right here in our own province.

Fans will be able to experience a wide range of talent in an intimate setting, during a small window of time. Artists will be able to meet fans, and network with one another in a relaxed atmosphere.

It is our hope that artists from outside of Calgary will be able to use this festival to increase their fan-base in our city. It is also our hope that hip-hop fans from the rest of the province will travel to Calgary to enjoy the festival, thus giving Calgary artists an opportunity to perform for a wider base of people.

The Festival will consist of three main events:

• FRI SEPT 14, 9PM: HIP HOP SHOWCASE @ DISTILLERY - 839, 5 Ave SW (18+)
• SAT SEPT 15, 2PM: ALL AGES SHOWCASE @ FAMELESS - 1314, 1 St SW.
• SAT SEPT 15, 9PM: HIP HOP SHOWCASE @ DISTILLERY - 839, 5 Ave SW (18+)
